Property and Application :

Ethylhexyl Stearate / 2-Ethylhexyl Stearate (Esther-EHS) is colorless or light yellow liquid at room temperature. It is not easy to oxidize, does not change color, is non-toxic, non-irritating, non-allergenic, and has good stability. It is soluble in acetone, castor oil, corn oil, chloroform, ethanol and mineral oil, insoluble in water, glycerin and propylene glycol, has good dispersibility and good compatibility with skin. It has good thixotropic, spreadability, fluidity and smoothness at skin temperature, and has anti-enzyme decomposition and antioxidant effect, good compatibility with other cosmetic components, as a solvent of pigment, vitamin, preservative and other cosmetic components, and is widely used in creams, sunscreen, massage oil and other cosmetics. Esther-EHS can also be used as an oil additive, synthetic fiber finishing agent, and plasticizer and lubricant for plastics.
