Description :

Silicone Oil-TE208 / Reactive Silicone Softener (Esther-Silicone TE208) is a reactive silicone emulsion, which forms an elastic film on fabric’s surface after the water is volatilized. When used alone or formulated with other softeners, it delivers treated fabric a super smooth, soft, and elastic feeling, together with improved fastness on washing and color. Esther-Silicone TE208 can be applied to a variety of fabrics, especially to cotton or it’s blending, with a very low level of yellowing properties.

Features :

Applications :

Esther-Silicone TE208 is applicable for a variety of fibers and fabrics as a softening and smooth feeling agent. It can be used as received or pre-diluted with water before use.

The optimum dosage depends on the required softness, type of fabrics and finishing conditions.

The following application conditions are commonly recommended:

Reference Finishing Process (can be flexibly adjusted according to the actual situation and the specific needs of the production) :

1.Continuous Padding Process :

Esther-Silicone TE208 : 5 ~ 30 g/l

Process : One dipping one padding

Mangle Expression : 75 ~ 95 %

Temperature : Room temperature

pH : 5.0 ~ 7.0

Drying : 105℃ drying to dry

Curing :160℃ cure 2 minutes

2. Exhaustion Process :

Esther-Silicone TE208 : 0.5 ~ 3.0% o.w.f.

Process : Exhaustion

Bath Ratio : 1 : 10

Temperature : Room temperature or < 30℃

Time : 20 to 30 minutes

pH : 5.0 ~ 7.0

Drying : 105℃ drying to dry

Curing : 160℃ cure 2 minutes

Application Notes :

1.Please stir the Esther-Silicone TE208 and dilute with water before application.

2.Esther-Silicone TE208 is stable even when using hard water. However, if water hardness >200 ppm, please dilute with soft water or deionized water.

3. Avoid mixing Esther-Silicone TE208 directly with anionic products;

4. To achieve best performance, please adjust working bath pH to 5.0-7.0.

Handling and Storage :

To ensure that the product quality is maintained, the container should be tightly sealed when not in use. It should be stored at normal room temperature, preventing prolonged exposure to extreme heat and cold conditions, which may cause product separation. If the product is separated, stir the contents. If the product is frozen, thaw it at warm conditions and stir after thawed.
