Description :

Isobutyl laurate is an ester derived from lauric acid and isobutyl alcohol .Structurally, it consists of a 12-carbon lauric acid chain esterified with a branched 4-carbon isobutyl group. This ester is synthesized via acid-catalyzed esterification, a common method for producing fatty acid esters. This compound is characterized by its hydrophobic nature, moderate viscosity, and low volatility, making it suitable for applications in cosmetics, lubricants, and food flavoring. Its emollient properties are valued in skincare formulations, where it enhances texture without greasiness.

It has excellent penetration, moisturizing and softening effects on the skin. lt is widely used in skin care products, makeup removeroils, and commonly used in formulations of foundation creams, sunscreens, eye shadows, lipsticks, mascara, etc.

As a softener and thickener in the formula of shower gel, moisturizer hair dye, etc.

Used in metal cuttina fluid and roling fluid, with good lubricity and annealing detergency.
